Baby furniture experts from Italy Peg Perego have added quite a nice little combo option to their high chair range in the form of its Tatamia high chair, launching in June 2009. This high chair is a recliner, swing and high chair, so it does triple duty, which may justify the cost of around $370, if you don’t already have those other pieces of equipment.

Being three items in one, this high chair offers features you can use from newborn right through to toddler. Little newborns love to nap in a recliner, and babies of most ages love a swing. Plus we think it is a really good high chair too.
The Peg Perego Tatamia has a very small footprint, thanks to a small, but slightly strange looking base, fitted with wheels for easy moving, and it folds down to a really compact size for storage or transport.
The fabric cover on the comfortable seat pad comes off, so you can wash it, albeit by hand, and if you choose to buy the accessory kit as well, you get a spare cover, hood and Play Bar, along with toys to keep baby occupied.
A five point harness takes care of safety, and the removable, dishwasher safe tray rounds off a pretty comprehensive package.

Adjustability

With nine height settings, and the ability to convert from a recliner, to a swing, and then to a high chair, this is one extremely adjustable chair. From newborn to toddler, you’ll have a versatile chair, and then, when your little one is big enough to eat at the table, snap off the tray, and the versatility continues - you have a nice comfy chair.

Ease of Cleaning

The seat is covered with a leatherette fabric, which wipes clean for smaller spills, and is removable for washing for bigger messes.  The tray liner is easily removed for washing, and the rest of the chair wipes clean easily, being of plastic and metal materials.

Look and Style

This chair looks high tech, well made, and sturdy, despite the small footprint. The seat is large, well padded and the whole chair just looks classy, stylish and durable. Of course, it also looks very modern, so if you love the idea of a traditional or classic chair, this one might not be for you, especially since you’ll be seeing a lot of it, as it takes you from newborn through the toddler years.
Our verdict? Great concept, great look, a little on the pricey side, but worth it if you want to get three pieces of baby furniture in one, and a high chair that is very adjustable to a growing child.
