The Phil & Ted’s Inline Hammerhead stroller is about as unique as its name.  It will carry two children in comfort with four wheel drive taking them over just about every type of terrain there is. A used Phil & Ted’s Inline Hammerhead is a solid choice.

FEATURES

4 out of 5 points The Hammer head is like all of the Phil & Ted Strollers.  You can use it for a single child or for convert it to use it for 2.  There is a nice sun canopy with a window that will cover one of the seats, but the other one is left open to the sun.  Each seat has a harness and bumper bar so you don’t have to worry about anyone falling out.  The large wheels are air filled and absorb any bumps you may hit in the road.  The Hammerhead has 2 wheels positioned close together in the front to give it the ultimate maneuverability.

SAFETY

4 out of 5 points Each seat of the Hammerhead has a 5 point safety harness that will keep your children safely in the stroller.  It also has a hand brake that will slow you down if you seem to be going to fast down hill or going around a corner.

MANUEVERABILITY AND RIDE

5 out of 5 points The Hammerhead is easy to steer.  The front two wheels swivel and can even pivot without having to lift the stroller.  It has 4 wheel drive and provides a very smooth ride for your kids.

COMFORT

4 out of 5 points Both seats of the Hammerhead recline fully so you can use it for a newborn up to 5 years old.   The seats are adequately padded in order to give a comfortable ride.  The handbars are adjustable for the height of the parent.seats both lying flat for newborn to upright to about 5 years old one seat.

DURABILITY

3 out of 5 points The frame of the Hammerhead is a sturdy aluminum and the fabric is strong and durable. The strong construction makes it a good choice for a used stroller purchase.

WEIGHT AND FOLDING

4 out of 5 points The Hammerhead weighs 28.5 pounds and can hold a child up to 55 pounds when used as a single stroller.  If two children are in the stroller they can be up to 44 pounds in one seat and 33 in the other.  The Hammerhead folds very flat and the wheels can be easily removed to fit in an even more confined place.

STORAGE

3 out of 5 points The Hammerhead has an under seat storage basket that unfortunately has to be sacrificed for a foot rest when you are using it for 2 children.  Phil & Ted’s has other options for storage that are sold separately.

LOOKS AND STYLE

4 out of 5 points This four wheel stroller that looks like a three wheel stroller is very unique.  The Hammerhead’s wheels are large and have rims and spokes.  The 2 front wheels are positioned close together like double wheels on a regular stroller to give it a triangular shape which we find very pleasing. It comes in Red or Black. Even if buying this stroller used, we think it will maintain a fresh look for years to come.
